A very thoughtful seminar on AI & IP that was held today on February 3, 2025 in cooperation between the UK Intellectual Property Office, the Ministry of Economy & Tourism, AIPPI GROUP UAE, Dubai Business Group for Intellectual Property (established by the Dubai Chambers) Emirates Intellectual property and Gulf Brand Protection Group.

The UKIPO delegates, led by the CEO Mr. Adam Williams, participated in speaking and moderating the two panels that were held. Speakers shared their visions, experience, assessed and commented on the regulatory impact of AI on IP practice on both international and local level in the UK and the UAE.

The governmental vision of UAE in AI was appraised and discussed by the speakers and audiences were able to share experience, raise technical and professional questions. Attendees were able to learn about the latest practice and vision of the UK IPO and hear on some other dialogues that are being held between IPOs internationally.

Some remarks were also given during the event by the UAE Ministry to Eocnomy (Undersecrery Assistant for IP sector) DR.ABDELRAHMAN ALMUAINI and the AIPPI UAE President Hoda Barakat Both AIPPI UAE Board members Munir Suboh and Malek HANNOUF as well as other senior members of AIPPI UAE group (Jon Parker and Nevin Jacob Koshy) did also participate in the panels and contributed to the informative discussions.

The event was an amazing success to show how AIPPI UAE group can support its members to tackle and hear on emerging issues.
